Are you a passionate, hardcore fan of The CW and WCCB-TV? If so, the Charlotte CW Street Team might be the most fun job you’ll ever have.
Job Description
WCCB, Charlotte’s CW, seeks outgoing, energetic, self-motivated individuals with excellent communication and people skills to join the station’s promotional Street Team. As part time employees of WCCB, Street Team members will be marketing representatives for Charlotte’s CW at community events setting up the station’s event booth, interacting with attendees, supervising and executing station games, contests & giveaways, shooting photos/videos and doing other promotional tasks. The Charlotte CW Street Team duties also include promoting Charlotte’s CW and its shows online utilizing the station’s various digital and social platforms (Facebook, Twitter. Pinterest, Instagram and others). Street Team digital duties will include email blasts, online posts, chats and blogging about the station’s programs.
Job Requirements
Applicants must be 18 years or older and legal residents of North or South Carolina. Applicants must be in good physical condition and able to lift up to 50 lbs. Applicants must be computer/technologically savvy with a working knowledge of digital technology (including but not limited to social media and creating/posting content online). Applicants must have a very strong knowledge about programming airing on the CW weeknights from 8pm-10pm (as well as other programming on WCCB-TV).
Applicants must post a video (“Submission Video”) on station’s website that is no more than 90 seconds in length telling us why they would be a great Charlotte CW Street Team member. Applicants must also complete the Charlotte CW Street Team Online Questionnaire.
If applicants are selected for a personal interview at the studios of WCCB-TV (“Station”), an employment application, consumer disclosure form and liability/publicity release form must be completed at that time for further consideration of employment. Background searches will be done on all Street Team finalists.
By posting a Submission Video and completing the online questionnaire, applicants agree the Station has the right to use their name, recorded likeness/voice or biographical material on-air or online to advertise, promote or publicize the Charlotte CW Street Team selection process without any financial compensation to applicant.
Job candidates hired as members of the Charlotte CW Street Team will be part time employees of Station. As such, they will be paid on an hourly basis for the scheduled work assigned to them. But as part time employees and members of the Charlotte CW Street,Team, the Station has the rights to use their name, recorded likeness/voice or biographical material on-air or online to promote, advertise or publicize Station without additional financial compensation beyond the stated hourly salary. Continued employment as Street Team members will be subject to the terms and guidelines described in the station Policy and Procedure Manual.
Station will not negotiate with talent or model agencies when hiring Street Team members. If you have a contract with an agency, you must notify the agency that Street Team employment will not be subject to the terms of your agency agreement.
